A Note from Rep. Ackerman:
Dear Constituents,
Thank you! The support I have received from the people of District 45 has been tremendous. Together, we won a tough election and I am honored to serve you as your State Representative. I ran on the platform that I would take care of your interests, and not the special interests. As I begin my first term, rest assured that the interests of the people of District 45 will always be my priority at the Statehouse.
I have been assigned to the House Committee on Health, Education, and Welfare and the House Committee on Municipal Government. As you know, education is one of my legislative priorities and I look forward to working with the rest of the committee to make sure the Rhode Island is home to the best education system.
I firmly believe that my time on the Cumberland Town Council gives me a good insight on municipal government and the operations of our cities and towns. I am looking forward to working with the members of the committee to bring stability to our cities and towns.
As we begin the work to move our state forward, I want to hear from you. I want you to know that as your elected official, I am here for you and am always glad to hear from you. For ways to get in touch with me, click here. All feedback and comments are always greatly appreciated!
I look forward to hearing from you and I thank you for the trust you have placed in me.
Yours truly,
Mia Ackerman
State Representative - District 45
